Grace upon Grace
There I will go to the altar of God,
to God—the source of all my joy.
I will praise you with my harp,
- Psalm 43:4

Playing the harp has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl. As I grew up in the Chicago area, I fell in love with the instrument after seeing harpists play in the city. It quickly became a passion of mine. Through my nine years of experience, I have seen the ways music can deeply touch a person’s heart and provide a space of reflection and inspiration. Playing the harp has truly taught me a lot of things including the abundant beauty and power of music. I am incredibly grateful for this instrument, and it is my greatest privilege to share my music with you.
My Education and Experiences
I began taking harp lessons at the age of 10, quickly realizing how much I enjoyed the instrument. I have studied under Ms. Brittany Smith and Mrs. Emily Goins. I have also received teaching from Phala Tracy and Anne Yeung. Currently, I am studying harp at Taylor University getting a Minor in Music Performance, specialized in harp.
I have competed in the Midwest Harp Festival Solo Competition and the Greater Chicago Chapter of American Harp Society Solo Competition. As a current member of GCCAHS, I have also participated in auditions and evaluations. In past summers, I have studied at the Suzuki Summer Institute in Stevens-Point, WI. During my senior year of high school, I auditioned with the Illinois Music Education Association and was selected as the All-State Harpist for the ILMEA 2022 All-State Orchestra.
With 5 years of orchestral experience and 8 years of ensemble work, I have enjoyed getting to make music alongside other musicians. I was a part of the Barrington High School Orchestra for 4 consecutive years learning how the harp fulfills it’s role in the orchestra. I am currently serving as the harpist in the Taylor University Symphony Orchestra. I have also played alongside Orchestra Indiana, and various other ensembles. One of my favorite things as a harpist is to play in an ensemble, which I got to do with Barrington Suzuki Studios under Brittany Smith. From classical pieces to pop songs, I love getting to combine the sound of harps to create beautiful music. Whether playing as a soloist or with others, it is a joy to create lovely and graceful music.
